Hewlett Packard Organization (HPE) has declared its intent to acquire OpsRamp, an IT operations management (ITOM) products and services company, for an undisclosed sum as it appears to be like to enhance its GreenLake abilities.

ITOM computer software and products and services are made use of to manage business IT — monitoring ability, performance and availability of infrastructure as properly as computing, networking, and software assets.

San Jose-headquartered OpsRamp, which was founded in 2014 by Raju Chekuri and Varma Kunaparaju, offers an AIOps platform that specializes in monitoring, automating and running IT infrastructure, cloud methods, workloads and programs for hybrid and multicloud environments.

“Integrating OpsRamp’s hybrid digital functions administration option with the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform — and supporting it with HPE services — will minimize the operational complexity of multi-vendor and multi-cloud IT environments that are in the general public cloud, colocations, and on-premises,” the companies said in a joint statement.

HPE’s acquisition assumes importance as the ITOM current market grows because of to the expanding complexity of IT environments as enterprises adopt community and personal clouds, edge computing infrastructure, and substantial databases for equipment understanding.

The ITOM current market, according to analyst business Gartner, is predicted to reach $61.79 billion by 2026. In accordance to an IDC survey on adoption of multicloud adoption, 64% of polled enterprises reported they use several cloud vendors, therefore generating the capability to deal with their IT functions sprawl across heterogeneous cloud environments difficult.

“Customers currently are handling numerous distinctive cloud environments, with different IT operational designs and resources, which drastically boosts the cost and complexity of electronic operations administration,” mentioned Fidelma Russo, HPE’s main know-how officer, in a push release.

HPE has been on an acquisition spree in the final couple of months. In January, it obtained safety expert services business Axis and Pachyderm — a business that delivers software primarily based on open-supply technological know-how to automate reproducible device mastering pipelines that goal massive-scale AI apps. In February, the enterprise obtained private cellular technology organization Athonet.

OpsRamp, which was just one of Hewlett Packard Pathfinder’s enterprise cash investments in 2020, has lifted $57.5 million in expenditure to date. Other guide investors in the organization include things like Sapphire Ventures and Morgan Stanley Expansion Funds.
